Making Reservations and Payments

To secure the dates and activities planned, it is always wise to make reservations far in advance, because booking slots can fill up fast.  For last minute arrangements, it is always considerate to call the business of choice, as soon as you know what you want to do, sometimes there is an opening. Many businesses like lodges and charter boats often require you to make a down payment to secure your reservations in advance.  It is always recommended to learn what the procedures are for refunds in case there is a cancellation or change in the itinerary.  It is also recommended that you seek travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events and costs.  Maintain contact with your business of choice.   Ask your business of choice how they receive payments.  Do they accept credit cards, or cash?  It is also customary to offer a gratuity after a stay at a lodge, tour guide, outfitters, and charter boat services.
